Islam views education as the most effective way to shape a prosperous society, as stated in the Quran. One important aspect is early childhood education. Efforts to elevate early childhood education can be seen through the initiatives taken by government agencies, such as the establishment of nurseries, kindergartens, daycare centers, and private agencies offering similar services. Additionally, private entities have also published modules for early childhood education that are used in preschool and kindergarten curricula. This article aims to examine the implementation of Islamic education among children in Malaysia through the module book of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad. The methodology used is descriptive, utilizing qualitative methods to analyze documents. The researcher reviewed several module books that were successfully obtained and published in the market, subsequently analyzing and evaluating their content based on aspects of hadith narration, the number of hadiths, themes of the hadiths, appropriate writing techniques and styles for children's age groups, and the teachings derived from the hadiths. The study found that efforts have been made by private agencies and individuals to collect and compile the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the purpose of early childhood education. The study also found that the printed modules of hadiths available in the market still have room for improvement based on the analysis and comments made by the researcher in the study findings. The author also suggests that these books be reviewed by advisory panels for further improvement and be transformed into learning modules for early childhood education
2023-10-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://journalofhadith.usim.edu.my/index.php/johs/article/view/241 Analisis Tanda-Tanda Penyakit Kanser Menurut Perspektif Hadis 2023-10-31T09:36:49+08:00 Wan Nur Fasihah binti Wan Noh wannurfasihah11@gmail.com Norzulaili Mohd Ghazali wannurfasihah11@gmail.com Nurulwahidah binti Fauzi wannurfasihah11@gmail.com Muhammad Fawwaz bin Muhammad Yusoff wannurfasihah11@gmail.com Robiatul Adawiyah Mohd @Amat wannurfasihah11@gmail.com
Cancer is a type of disease that exists as a result of a cell imbalance or caused by a negative cell reaction in the body. Hence, this is the function of the Marriage Consultation Unit under the Islamic Religious Department in every state of Malaysia. During any marriage dispute, the appointed marriage consultation officer (MCO) normally acts as a counsellor to listen to the issues of both parties and provide advice to reconcile the marriage relationship between husband and wife. However, the MCO is not among the accredited counsellors even though counselling practices are implemented during the session. Thus, many people blame the MCO due to various unsuccessful marriage reconciliation that led to higher statistical divorce rate in Malaysia. This phenomenon triggered the researcher to study the MCO’s understanding on one of the elements of hisbah (used as a module of the MCO), which is muraqabah. Besides, this study also explore the hadith related to the concept of muraqabah. This study is qualitative research that employed the use of document analysis method, and interviews. Document analysis was used to extract hadiths related to muraqabah. Six MCO from six districts of Kelantan participated to be interviewed in this research. The findings showed that there are 3 main hadiths related to muraqabah. Most of the MCO also understand the general concept of muraqabah with their own definition. Hence, it is hoped that this study would add to the existing literature of muraqabah as well as its understanding among the MCO. Through this study also, the techniques used in marriage consultation is expected to be more effective and hopefully lead to the reduction of divorce statistics in Kelantan and throughout the country.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://journalofhadith.usim.edu.my/index.php/johs/article/view/243 Kempen ‘Semak Ḥadīth Sebelum Sebar’ Antara Tradisi Ahli Ḥadīth Dan Dakyah ‘Wahabi’ 2023-10-31T09:56:49+08:00 Hanaffie Hasin sahabah84@gmail.com
The Noble Qur'an and ḥadīth are two main sources of revelation that serve as crucial pillars for the Islamic faith. However, there are several significant differences between these two sources of revelation. The most notable difference lies in terms of thubūt (the authenticity of the transmission of the revelation to its source). Unlike the Noble Qur'an, which has reached the Muslim community through mutawātir (mass-transmitted) chains of narration, the majority of ḥadīth have been transmitted to Muslims through āḥād (singularly transmitted) chains, which are open to criticism regarding their authenticity (ṣādiq) or falsehood (kāzib) in their transmission to the original source, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Scholars from various fields, such as muḥaddithūn (ḥadīth scholars), fuqahā’ (jurists), and uṣūliyyūn (theologians), have laid down various criteria for evaluating the acceptance of a ḥadīth (maqbūl). If a ḥadīth fails to meet any of the established criteria, it is deemed rejected (mardūd). Given the reality that a ḥadīth could be true or false in its attribution to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), many contemporary ḥadīth researchers in Malaysia have launched the campaign 'Check the Ḥadīth Before Spreading.' On the surface, this campaign is commendable and in line with the tradition of ḥadīth scholars who have always emphasized the importance of verifying the status of ḥadīth before accepting or disseminating them. However, there are some who seemingly do not support this campaign and even argue that it is a 'Wahabi' propaganda in Malaysia, attempting to surpass the wisdom of past ḥadīth scholars who never engaged in such a campaign. This reaction has sparked controversy within the discourse of contemporary ḥadīth studies in Malaysia. This paper aims to unravel these issues and shed light on the status of this campaign according to the principles and methodologies of knowledge within the tradition of Islamic ḥadīth studies.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://journalofhadith.usim.edu.my/index.php/johs/article/view/244 Analisis Makna Kontekstual Hadis Peranan Ibu Terhadap Pembentukan Spiritual Anak Berdasarkan Hadis Sahih Al-Bukhari 2023-10-31T21:26:46+08:00 Norzulaili Mohd Ghazali norzulaili@usim.edu.my Mawaddah Abd Manan norzulaili@usim.edu.my Zulhilmi Mohamed Nor norzulaili@usim.edu.my Robiatul Adawiyah Mohd norzulaili@usim.edu.my Nadzrah Ahmad norzulaili@usim.edu.my
The disregard for the spiritual dimension of children, particularly within the contemporary technological era, contributes significantly to the erosion of ethical values within familial domains. Therefore, the spiritual formation of children must be emphasized by parents, with a particular emphasis on mothers, who occupy the most proximate role in their children's lives. The exemplary source of spiritual formation is the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as he is the best example to follow in family life. Thus, this study aims to extract hadiths from Sahih al-Bukhari regarding the role of mothers in shaping the spiritual development of children. The extracted hadiths will be analyzed to identify the contextual meanings of these hadiths. This study employed the qualitative method based on the text analysis approach using the extraction of hadiths related to the role of mothers from Sahih al-Bukhari, applying the Theory of Semantic Fields (SFT) for the term "umm" (mother). This theory is applied to identify hadiths related to the role of mothers based on the term "umm" and its synonyms, antonyms, hypernyms, and meronyms. The result of the study shows a total of 5 hadiths directly related to the spiritual formation of children. These 5 hadiths encompass aspects of instilling faith, adopting an approach to train children in performing worship, and praying for children. In conclusion, spiritual formation within children, guided by the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, serves as a comprehensive guide to shaping their character and nurturing them into pious individuals.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://journalofhadith.usim.edu.my/index.php/johs/article/view/245 Komunikasi Nabawi Sebagai Asas Panduan Interaksi Media Sosial 2023-10-31T21:35:47+08:00 Syed Mohammad Hilmi Syed Abdul Rahman smhilmi@um.edu.my Muhammad Hazim Mohd Azhar smhilmi@um.edu.my Che Zarrina Sa'ari smhilmi@um.edu.my Mohd Anuar Ramli smhilmi@um.edu.my Azah Anir Norman smhilmi@um.edu.my Mohd Anuar Mamat smhilmi@um.edu.my
Social media interactions are more widespread in the digital world than conventional social interactions that take place physically and are limited to small groups of people.
