Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

  1. A new author will be required to register as a new user before proceeding to the submission stage. Most processes and procedures are self-explanatory.
  2. After logging in, please fill up the submission form and select the article types.
  3. The paper should be submitted in the digital file form "*.doc".

Author Guidelines 

  1. The paper should be within Quranic and Prophetic Tradition Studies, Sirah, Qur’anic issues within technology and multimedia, human development as well as in other fields written from Quran and Sunnah perspectives.
  2. The article should be either Arabic, English or Malay.
  3. These articles also do not publish previously.
  4. The article must avoid any sensitive issues and must be followed by the rules of Aqidah and Syariah guidelines without insulting any organization or individuals.
  5. The article should not exceed 6,000 words, excluding the footnotes.
  6. The published article would not represent the stand or opinion of the Advisory Board, Editorial Board, the Management Team of Journal of Hadith Studies.

Style and Format

  1. The paper should be typed using only Times New Roman font (12) for Roman characters, line spacing 1.0 lines, while Traditional Arabic font should be used for Arabic or Jawi characters font (16), and with spacing 1.5 lines. Paragraph formatting and overall presentation should conform to the practice of Journal of Hadith Studies, as can be seen in the example paper.
  2. The paper should be attached to an article’s title, main author(s) and the second author(s) name along with the full address, (institution’s or university’s address, e-mail, handphone’s number, office’s number, together with the second author’s details).
  3. All bibliography should be listed in Roman character, either the references are quoted from English or Arabic.
  4. The paper should be supplemented with (a) titles; (b) abstracts not exceeding 150 words and; (c) keywords not exceeding seven terms, both in Arabic and English.
  5. Tables and figures: Tables and figures should be submitted together with the documents and included as part of the text. Tables and figures should be numbered in Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the paper.
