Abstract

Hadith is the premier source in Islam after the Quran. It is a supporter, reinforcer and mubayyin of the verses of the Quran as well as the support of Islamic jurisprudence. However, the traditional hadith learning nature required a long time to find and refer to hadith books either physically or virtually. The world changes towards the era of digitization or the era of media technology, teaching and learning aids in Islamic studies have innovated several interactive, flexible and effective mediums, especially to find reference sources such as Maktabah Syamilah software. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the use of Maktabah Syamilah software in increasing students' interest in learning hadith. This study uses a survey based on a set of questionnaire instruments of data collection method that has been distributed to 132 final year students, Faculty of Quran and Sunnah Studies, USIM. The results show that the usage of Maktabah Syamilah software can increase students' interest in learning hadith because it very friendly usage. In conclusion, the use of technology in learning could support and help students to improve in mastering their studies.
