Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani is one of the most famous scholars of hadith throughout the ages, and his book “Fath al-Bari fi Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari” is one of the most comprehensive and complete explanations. Examining the sources and references in a book helps in understanding the author’s approach and purposes of his writing because the references are one of the important elements that have a major role in the composition of a book. The inductive library method was used by collecting relevant materials; Among the main results that appeared through this research, Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar relied on an abundance of resources in various arts, with what is appropriate and required by the nature of the hadith explanations in producing his work of Fath al-Bari.
