The emergence of various interpretations relating the current situation to the content of hadith al-fitan wa al-malahim has become a phenomenon among the public and experts in the field. Discussion among the public regarding this matter has gone viral whenever new issues ranging from politics, social, economic as well as cosmology, and medical issues appear to have a connection with certain hadith of the Prophet. However, discussion without a proper understanding of the methodology in dealing with hadith of al-fitan wa al-malahim could lead to a serious misunderstanding of the hadith. Besides, some people tend to create predictions of the time of al-Qiyamahbasede on their understanding of current issues and the hadith. This paper attempt to briefly describe the basic methodology in dealing with the hadith of al-fitan wa al-malahim, and further elaborate the chronology of major sign of the al-Qiyamah where correct understanding of the major events of al-Qiyamah could help in avoiding false prediction of the time of al-Qiyamah.
